Purnima Chauhan has joined Athena as a Clinical Psychologist. A holder of a Master of Philosophy in Clinical Psychology and a Master of Arts, in Clinical Psychology, Purnima is an RCI-recognized Clinical Psychologist whose core competencies lie in psychological evaluation, assessment and testing, psychotherapy, and rehabilitation.
Purnima Chauhan has won a silver medal for her academic performance in M.Phil. (Clinical Psychology). Along with this, she has several professional achievements to her name. Some of these include acting as a ‘Resource Person’ for a workshop titled “OCD and Depression: Theory to Practice,” successfully conducting a two days seminar on “Psychiatric Rehabilitation and Drug-deaddiction,” stress management sessions, and mental health awareness sessions, to name a few.
Her professional experience includes working as a psychologist and clinical psychologist with various organizations. This has helped her gain experience in diagnosing, evaluating, and treating individuals affected by various forms of mental illnesses; formulating, maintaining, and updating individual plans in day-care and outpatient settings; planning and conducting frequency, intensity, and duration of individual psychotherapy; conducting individual and group therapy sessions; and conducting seminars on mental health awareness, to name a few.
She also holds experience in assisting clients through online platforms wherein she has diagnosed, evaluated, and counseled working professionals proactively to identify and address their emotional and mental health concerns. Purnima is committed to working for the betterment of her clients and aims to use clinical psychological theories in the practical world to heal the mental turmoil of clients.
