Kanika Nanda

Kanika Nanda has joined Athena as a Clinical Psychologist and is committed to working with children and adolescents suffering from mental health issues. She has completed her Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Amity University, Gurugram (2022) and also holds a Diploma in Counselling Psychology from Amity University, Noida (2017).

Kanika has worked as a Lead Child Psychologist with Mom’s Belief (Rays of Belief) and SOCH Therapy Center. This has helped her gain experience in different ways such as assisting with hands-on therapy of special needs children, guiding and counseling parents and conducting case history, assessment, and therapy sessions, conducting in-house sessions with parents and workshops with them focusing on parent empowerment, and much more.

Owing to her deep interest in mental health, Kanika has submitted several research papers and is also working on a few more. Some of these include “Social inclusion of children
diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder in India – A Literature Review,”, “Inclusive Education in India – Parent Perspective”, and “Social Inclusion of Children Diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder in India: Scoping Review.”

Apart from these, she has also submitted a thesis on “Relationship between Alcohol Dependency and Depression in Young Adults” during her Bachelor’s and “Impact of feeding difficulties in children with autism spectrum disorder on parental anxiety – A
literature review” during her Master’s from Amity University.

Kanika Nanda is a yoga lover and aims at acquiring deeper knowledge in the field of psychology.
