Taranpreet Kaur

Taranpreet Kaur is a skilled clinical psychologist who has recently joined Athena Behavioral Health. She completed her M. Phil in Clinical Psychology from Shree Guru Gobind Singh Tricentenary University, where she trained extensively at S.G.T. Hospital, Gurugram. During her training from August 2022 to August 2024, Taranpreet worked with over 250 patients, performing detailed psychological assessments, mental status examinations, and diagnoses based on ICD-10 and DSM-V criteria. She gained experience with diverse populations, including children, teens, adults, and the elderly, in both urban and rural settings across Delhi NCR.

Taranpreet is adept at working within outpatient (OPD) and inpatient (IPD) setups, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams in departments such as Psychiatry, Neurology, and Pediatrics. Her therapeutic approach includes evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectic Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Schema Therapy. She has successfully developed individualized treatment plans, guiding many patients through their prognosis.

Before her clinical work, Taranpreet served as an International Psychology Educator at Cambridge International Foundation School, where she achieved a 100% passing rate among her students, with 80% pursuing higher education in psychology. She also has experience as a freelance social media marketer and content writer.

Taranpreet’s academic background is rich, with a Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Mehr Chand Mahajan DAV College for Women, a Post Graduate Diploma in School Counseling from Symbiosis Distance Learning, and a Bachelor’s in Psychology from Apeejay College of Fine Arts. Her dedication to the field of psychology is evident in her involvement in research, workshops, and various academic and extracurricular achievements.
