Dr. Umang Gupta

Dr. Umang Gupta, MD Psychiatry, brings a wealth of experience and expertise to Athena Behavioral Health as our newly appointed Senior Resident Doctor, commencing in March 2024. With a passion for mental health and a dedication to patient care, Dr. Gupta’s journey in the field of psychiatry has been marked by significant achievements and contributions.

Dr. Gupta began his medical career at Muzaffarnagar Medical College, where he completed his MBBS in 2018 before pursuing specialization in Psychiatry. During his tenure at the medical college, he displayed remarkable dedication to academic and clinical excellence, which laid the foundation for his future endeavors.

As a Junior Resident at Muzaffarnagar Medical College from August 2020 to August 2023, Dr. Gupta gained invaluable experience in various aspects of patient care and medical practice. Subsequently, he joined Ambar Neuro Mind Care as a Consultant Psychiatrist, where he continued to refine his skills and make significant contributions to the field.

Throughout his academic and professional journey, Dr. Gupta has demonstrated a commitment to research and scholarly activities. He has presented papers at prestigious conferences such as CIPCON and ANCEMP, showcasing his contributions to the advancement of psychiatric knowledge. His research work has been recognized through publications in esteemed journals like the International Journal of Forensic and Neurology Sciences (IJFANS) and the International Journal of Scientific Research (IJSR). Dr. Gupta’s thesis on “Alcohol Dependence and Associated Psychiatric Comorbidity in Patients Attending Psychiatric OPD: Does It Mean Threat?” reflects his dedication to exploring crucial issues in mental health and addiction.

Outside of his professional pursuits, Dr. Gupta nurtures a diverse range of interests, including reading, sports such as cricket, badminton, volleyball, and chess, as well as a love for music.

With his blend of clinical experience, research acumen, and passion for patient care, Dr. Umang Gupta is poised to make significant contributions to the team at Athena Behavioral Health, ensuring the provision of high-quality psychiatric services to those in need.
