Dr. Rahul Rai

Dr. Rahul Rai has joined Athena as Group Center Head for its Gurugram office. Prior to joining Athena, Dr. Rahul was holding the designation of Director at Manthan Neuropsychiatry Centre, Gurugram. He holds years of experience working as a psychiatrist with various organizations. A few of these include Narayana Superspeciality Hospital, Gurugram as a Consultant Psychiatrist; Metro Hospital & Heart Institute, Palam Vihar, Gurugram as a Consultant Psychiatrist; Central Jail Tihar, New Delhi as a Junior Specialist (Psychiatry); Northern Railways as a Medical Officer, to name a few.

Dr. Rahul Rai  has completed his M.B.B.S from Ch. Charan Singh University, Meerut and DPM (Psychiatry) from Santosh University, Ghaziabad. He has published several research articles under his name. His experience and understanding of prison mental health and suicide-prevention programs in prison set up can be a valuable addition to the organization. He is also experienced in handling de-addiction patients (such as alcohol dependence, opioid dependence, stimulant dependence), rural patients visiting community clinics, children, and marital and sexual couples.

He  holds membership of Indian Psychiatric society (IPS) and Indian Medical Association (IMA). He has also attended various conferences such as, Annual Conference of Indian Association of Biological Psychiatry, 2014; Annual National Conference of Indian Psychiatric Society 2015; CIPCON 2015, in Moradabad (UP); and Annual National conference of Indian Psychiatry Society 2019, to name a few. Attending these conferences has enabled him to hone his skills as a psychiatrist.

He is skilled at inpatient clerking, monitoring of in-patients, and conducting their investigations. He also participates in departmental meetings, presentations, daily ward rounds and discussing cases with the concerned department. The child psychiatry disorders like attention deficit, autism, and mental retardation can be reliably consulted with Dr. Rahul.
