Dr. Rahul Gupta

Dr. Rahul Gupta is a Psychiatrist – Center Head at Athena Behavioral Health. He is a highly accomplished and experienced psychiatrist with a passion for research.

Prior to joining Athena, Dr. Gupta worked as a medical officer and Sonologist for 1.5 years. He completed his MBBS from PGIMS Rohtak in 2016 and his MD in Psychiatry from DR SN Medical College Jodhpur and Psychiatry Centre MDM Hospital Jodhpur in 2022.

Dr. Gupta has published several research articles in leading medical journals. His research interests include crime thrillers watching behavior, self-harm behavior in opioid dependence patients, the psychological impact of COVID-19 among patients with severe mental illness, the prevalence and precipitants of aggression in admitted psychiatric patients, and peripheral non-enzymatic antioxidants in bipolar illness and schizophrenia.

In 2021, Dr. Gupta won the Gehlot Award at the Raj Psycon Annual Conference for his research on crime thriller binge-watching behavior. This award is given to the best research paper presented at the conference.
